Hi, I’m Ron Fox, and I am proud to be the Ontario Liberal candidate for Brantford Brant. I’ve lived in Brantford for over 30 years, been happily married to my wife for 19 years, and have been a local business and community leader. I’m a Realtor with Royal Lepage now, but most people know me as a former Tim Hortons franchisee, where I ran two busy locations for more than 20 years. My family’s history with Tim’s goes back to 1965, when my Dad started at store number 1 as a baker. I grew up in the business, sweeping the parking lot, baking donuts, and pouring coffee, and took over when they retired.

I also served as President of The Alliance of Canadian Franchisees, where I fought for the rights of small business owners and worked to improve relations with Tim Hortons’ head office. My years in business gave me a front-row seat to the needs of our community, and I listened closely to what people were saying.

What I’ve heard is that people are tired of the status quo. They’re frustrated with the current government’s financial mismanagement, like the $2 billion spa in Toronto and the $3 billion in cheques sent out just to buy votes. They're sick of sweetheart deals for big corporations at taxpayers’ expense, and now, we face the possibility of an unnecessary, costly election in the middle of winter.

Instead of wasting time and money on an early election, we should focus on solving issues like the cost of living, healthcare, education, housing, and crime. Brantford Brant deserves better— a government that is responsible, fiscally sound, and focused on improving our public services. That’s what the Ontario Liberal Party stands for.
